Engr. Zahidul Alam, Founder & Managing Director of Engreen, widely recognized for its Pioneer Solar Power Plant which has been supplying power to the national grid since year 2017. With an installed DC capacity of 3.3 MWp, it's the first of its kind in Bangladesh’s history with regards to Greening the National Grid. Mr. Zahidul Alam is also currently serving as the Vice President of BSREA (Bangladesh Solar & Renewable Energy Association). He is also Hon’ble Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in various capacities in different sectors, which spans from engineering, teaching, leadership, investment management, fund raising. finance, marketing, operational excellence, consulting, policy making & regulatory while working in different multinational companies, universities starting from BRAC University, Grameen-phone, Warid Telecom, Airtel, Robi Axiata, Concord Pragatee Consortium, Engreen, Shanto-Mariam University and so on. Mr. Zahid is a true believer in entrepreneurship and also has a genuine passion for going green. While serving as a Vice President, Economic Regulations in Robi Axiata Ltd, in 2011 Mr. Zahid dared to leave his bright career to fulfill his long-awaited dream of doing renewable projects for energy decarbonization and founded Engreen to achieve his dream mission of "Nurture Nature's Power".
